It also comprises the Customs Department.\r\n<br\/><br\/>\r\nChairperson of the Mauritius Sugar Authority, the apex organization responsible for coordinating the activities of the various public and private bodies concerned with the sugar industry - 2001 to May 2005.\r\n<br\/><br\/>\r\nChairperson of the Sugar Planter\u2019s Mechanical Pool Corporation which is responsible for managing a pool of agricultural machinery for hire by planters.
